Getting to Wells Community Hospital
Map showing location of Wells Hospital
Local aerial view of Wells and hospital
By bus
Wells is served by several bus services. The Coast Hopper service runs from
Sheringham to Hunstanton and passes outside the Hospital... be sure to ask the driver to stop
to drop you there. Services from inland and Fakenham terminate at The Buttlands in the centre
of Wells, about a one mile walk from the hospital.
By car
The hospital is easily reached by car or taxi. From inland, take the B1105 from
Fakenham to Wells. As you enter Wells, keep straight ahead up the hill and follow the road
round to the left past the town sign. The hospital is on the left as you leave the town. From the
West, take the A149 coast road to Wells. When you reach Wells, follow the A149 round to
the right rather than turning off for the town centre, beach and quay. The road climbs a hill
and turns sharply to the left... the hospital entrance is just on your right. From the East,
take the A149 coast road to Wells. Stay on this behind the town past the Church and Fire
Station. At the T-junction with the B1105, turn right and follow the road up and to the left;
the hospital is on your left as you leave the town.
Parking
There is ample free parking around in the car park at the front of the hospital.
Please do not park outside on the road unless the car park is full. Please do not leave your car
in the hospital car park beyond the length of your visit or appointment as others may need the
space.
