Supporting Wells Hospital

Wells Cottage Hospital has re-opened as a Community Hospital run by a charitable trust after a long campaign and strong support from members of the local community. Now that the hospital is open for business, we continue to need both practical support from volunteer helpers and financial support from charitable donations and fund-raising activities to help pay towards the cost of running and expanding the buildings, facilities and services at the hospital.

Volunteering

We need people to help with a wide range of activities. You might like to help with gardening, decorating or have some office skills you could share with us. It doesn't matter how much or how little time you have to spare; a few hours a week could be extremely valuable. If you have appropriate professional skills and are thinking of working for, or giving some time voluntarily to, the hospital, please contact us.

If you wish to volunteer, please fill in our on-line volunteer form which will also automatically make you a member of the League of Friends.

Donations

Donations to the hospital, however large or small, are much appreciated and go towards providing the best local care we can for our community. For more information or to give on-line, see our donations page.

The League of Friends

Wells Hospital has long been supported by its League of Friends of Wells Cottage Hospital. If you don't want or have the time to volunteer for any task, you can show your support and make a contribution by joining the league for a small annual subscription, currently just £5.

Organise a fund-raising event!

We would be delighted if you would like to run a fund-raising event in aid of the hosptial. This could be a coffee morning, a dinner party, a request that people donate to the hospital instead of giving birthday presents or a sponsored activity. Our Justgiving pages make it easy for you to accept payment on-line by credit and debit cards for sponsors of your event or to collect donations. Our events team will provide help with setting this up if you need it.
